Fairfax County operates the Bell 429 across law enforcement and HEMS missions. The agency describes itself as a dual-mission provider and was an early Bell 429 operator.
The 429's twin-engine reliability, performance and maneuverability support urban, rural and suburban operations, including unimproved landing zones and vehicle pursuits.
The aircraft's camera system helps officers set up perimeters, search large areas and locate missing or vulnerable people. This aerial capability acts as a force multiplier for officers on the ground.
The agency values Bell training, day-to-day support, parts availability and the ability to focus on its mission rather than aircraft problems.
